Its about 1-1/2" diameter , nylon/plastic , has a nut moulded inside

Ditto on the Kompan playscape theory.
I used to make Kompan plan equipement years ago when they first started out.
I did a few designs that still are used in their range of play kits.
All made by hand back then, don't know where they are now though.
Cheers
Brad....

Todays hunting was very frustrating ... This was only my second outing with this new coil... Pinpointing is still a little tricky, but i think ive got it worked out now.
I went to a park that i have visited before , this time in another area not previously hunted.i split this area in half , did the first part before lunch...

Bottle tops were were driving me mad ;)
Got a couple of goldies , 3 x1c , 1952penny , 1911 half penny

After lunch .... Canslaw was the curse in the other half of the area i hunted until dark

I didnt dig eveything , i used the pinpoint to scan and if it showed a large footprint i left it as a can or at least a big chunk of one ..
I obviously havent got that down pat yet with this coil
I did manage to weed out a couple of coins
$1 , 50c , 3x2c , 1948 penny and a key

There is still a small section that i didnt get finished , so i plan to do that in the morning...
I have another place in my sights for tomorrow, but dont think i will have access until at least lunchtime :D
Im hoping for better luck... Got my fingers crossed...

The larger coil will be a bit trickier to pinpoint with, and probably not the best option for real junky areas. I can immediately think of some good park areas where I would use it, reasonably low junk, but with some recent pre-dec finds of later dates. I was thiinking some older coins might be sitting a bit deeper due to the pre 1800's dating of the area.

Anyway, I'm sure you will get accustomed to it after some detector time. How heavy is it compared to the detech coil? :)

Gday Tassie, i use an Ace250 for the parks and an old sovereign for the beach
Hey GP, ye its just a bit different , i just about got it sorted now , practice is all...
The Nell is about the same as the large concentric , no problems with swinging it for a few hours
The detech ( even though its pretty big 13") is on the sov , again weight isnt an issue as the control box is hanging off my belt

1pm i got access to my new sight.... Damn , it was hot out there... Forgot my hat :8
Turned out to be a pretty good spot ;) got about half of it done , had to pull the pin , it was just too hot out there

$52.65 , 1919 half penny and an old ring ( junk i think)
Not bad for a couple of hours....
Headed down to the beach next ... Much cooler :p

Don't spend it, they are actually quite collectable. Check out ebay for some pricing, some sell for over $20.
Really? I must see at least one every shift I have in the tills. I understand these are colored and most are still in sweet conditions. Too much time looking for the 66 wavy and Mule $1. Snagged an upset $1 for a quick turnaround and return a few days back. It was thanks to the interest on this forum that I even bothered to look. Spend more time looking for coins than counting them haha.

Yea they were everywhere for. While, I had a couple hundred bucks worth last year then ended up spending them lol.

They sell on gumtree for 5 bucks though sometimes, there are two kinds. One with the purple and one without the purple but same print pattern.
