gotta learn to carry their own plastic bags.

Well here is today's gifts from the detecting gods. As well as the spoon, I got a 1921 sixpence and some pennies.
The spoon is an ATLAS made by AP & Co Ltd. That's all I got so far. Looks an old design. The ground was so bloody hard. Took me at least 15 minutes to dig the spoon out.
The small piece with the gears and other little pieces I think is the wheel to wind up the wick in a lamp. The small bits of copper are paper thin. There was a little more of it in the hole but nothing else.

Today's lesson: You really do need to cover the area properly. The pliers, which were on the surface and the Fishing sinker, which was not, were found under a tree less than 2 metres from where I got a 3 silver coin spill on a previous visit. How did I miss them? Specially the pliers on the surface. :8

My first Chinese coin today. :D
It was hot but worth it. I found some virgin ground but I only did about 1/4 of it. Working under the trees because it was too hot out in the sun. I hit 5 or 6 spots today but most came from this 1 spot which gave up all the silver bar 1 thrip plus the clock mechanism key and some of the other relics. The silver locket was in the same hole as the Chinese coin. A few silvers, a nice 1891 Brit penny and a trickle of pocket money coming in made for a good result. :D

Edit: Thanks to LonelySilver we can date the Chinese coin to 1821-1850.
