Strange find - has anyone seen or come across similar?

Okay, so I was helping a mate in Perth pull down an old house not far from the Swan River and underneath in the dirt, we found what I assume is a Nazi soldier's toothbrush. See pics. I've heard of Aussie soldier relics popping up (for obvious reasons), but not german and was wondering if anyone else has come across anything like this ever before?

My mate is going to try and find out who owned the house previously, but it has been through at least several different owners over the years before he purchased it for the land.

Yeah the length made me wonder if it was a wire brush.

Yeh, I should have put up a ruler for scale. It's 145 x 5mm.

I too thought that it might be a small wire brush for pistol cleaning, but OzzieAu's link shows what I imagine it would have looked like back then. Definitely big mouths (the head is 40mm) :lol:
