Nice feathuh too! Dig you get hungry and nibble a hap'ney..

You both detected near my total of golds for several months work of detecting in just one day lol

Maybe a bit bigger area but not much. My best day on the goldies. Funny thing is we moved away from this spot to chase pre decs. :8

I wouldave had more, but sly old RJ had alot more time on the goldie patch! We will go back, so many targets really close, time to try the sniper coils :)

Is it sly to hit the obvious spots? ;)
Forgot to mention I switched to the small coil after an hour or so. VERY trashy. Half dozen low tone, trashy targets with one sweep of the coil.

I was a good boy and had my lawns done by 9 this morning so I gave myself a break and hit my local for an hour or so. I haven't been there in a while mostly because it's a well trodden path. ;) Disappointed to see lot's of large excavations. I took pics of some of them. I don't know what they dug up but they missed all I got in the same area. None of the coins was deeper than 5 CMs or so including the Half penny. Most of the bottle tops were surface finds in groups where people camped for the music festival. I'd put the Pro down pick up a dozen or so in some spots. There is a couple of tent pegs as well. Must be in the car still.

Cripes, some of those holes were big enough pull a milo tin out of the ground. I suspect they didn't have the use of a pinpointer, hence the holes just were widened when they realised they hadn't located the target properly on the first go. Either that or they digging a lot of aluminium cans.

Looks like bottle cap city Rod. :D

I run The At Pro wide open apart from 35 on the iron discrim. The problem with bottle caps is if I don't pick up the surface ones now I'll be digging them next year. Plus they can ring up anywhere in the sweet spot for the most common coins. I've had bottle caps from 75 ish up to 84-85. In that range are Goldies and most of the Pre decimals and of course BBs and silver jewellery. 8.(

Maybe they are pulling deep gold nuggets in your area that you are unaware of RJ(ha). :D
