Hit the beach Sunday evening. Not a lot of finds but it was a very pleasant day. I did get 5 of the coins in a small area.

Hi spatch. I have only been to the beach detecting a couple of times. Guess I'm Used to getting more coins on my hunts.

Woo-hoo! Got my first gold find and first jewellery recovery.

Mrs Ramjet was trying to put a new stud in her nose piecing and dropped it. Found with the trusty pin pointer

Whos the guy in the top right on the photo just above the handlebars detecting on the edge of the wet

(Low spot near the rocks) most of the depositors have left the beach would have been nice on the sand

Well spotted Mr T. That's Bob and I'd just met him a few minutes before taking the pic. Interestingly it took me a while to find the coin zone where I got the 5 coins in a small area. He walked straight to that spot and started swinging. Obviously he has more beach experience than me.

I was all over the beach. Yes he had an early Sovereign.

Put in the hard yards today for not much result. That's what happens when you go over flogged ground I guess. The heart skipped a beat as I rubbed the dirt off the 193......8 penny. In the excitement I forgot for a moment that 1930 wouldn't be a Roo. :8 Interesting find of the day is the Comforts Fund Appeal Day lapel pin. The only pic I found in a quick search was on ebay. As usual a lot of the trash was surface stuff and I even got an xmas card.
