Ooooooh, nice finds Rod, hope that ring has Diamonds. About 1 in every 7 or 8 Diamonds flouresce under a UV light, if they are real I'd suspect that at least 1 would look a bit milky under UV. Though a diamond test at a jewellers would be the easiest way to tell.

Hope they are, and hope you will enjoy the stone resetting design process. If you see Mrs Ramjet staring aimlessly into space, this could be her ailment.

It might be a good oportunity to recycle some of that precious metals you have been hoarding.

Fingers crossed.

You are a genius Wally. Mrs Ramjet has a ton of gold jewellery. Because she wears it every day it wears out and she has several bracelets that have broken. Maybe melt it down and use some of the stones in rings I have found to recycle some of her gold. ;)

PS. We love gold.... I buy it, she wears it. 8)

Another new spot for me today. It's a bit of work to get there. I'm still not sure if it was residential or more industrial. Lots of large, screaming, high tone targets and I wasn't digging them all. But then I got a screamer that turned out to be a pocket watch lid... with hallmarks!!! So maybe when I go back I'll dig em all. Less than 2 metres from the watch cover I dug what I first thought was a smaller, ladies watch. After a bit of a clean at home it seems like a ladies compact case, There is a mirror. Being so close to the watch and under the shade of some trees I'm thinking a lovers tryst. ;) :p

Only 3 roo pennies in the coin department and a couple of more modern matchbox cars. Oh and the kitchen sink... plug. I have a small and large sink plug now.

The hallmarks: The lion means 925 silver, the D is the date for 1879 and the other I believe is the Cat's face for city of manufacture, London. Interesting there should be a 4th mark with the monarch's image to state Duty has been paid.

The P:W seems to be Phillip Woodman and sons and they fit the time period.
