Slow n steady day with the Rocket today. Cruisin' the coalfields looking for treasure. :D Rocket's first find was a great one. Link below. So it seemed like it was going to be a great spot. I soon popped out a 57 thrip but apart from a penny not much else. On to the next spot. Rocket suggested I film the historic sign for my youtubes. I got a great signal (83-85) just as I approached the sign and dug up a crusty florin. 1947 of course. From where I am standing to take the pic of the sign below, the florin was at my right foot. How many others have stood on that florin and read the sign????

My first shot glass, plastic with a foil lid still partly in place. Boot heel surface find. Not sure about the small tin. It's very corroded. Snuff tin maybe.

Rocket's finds. https://www.prospectingaustralia.com/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=203797#p203797

The coppers are in really bad knick, so I guess that's either the type of soil or the wetness of it as the Lake Eildon spot was really damp.

And was 1947 the only year they made Florins?.............fair dinkum every time I find one, and I've only got a couple, they are '47's
They also made 1933s Daz. Scroll down to Post# 199 :D

So #2 grandson's birthday party today. After doing all the pop thing, ( set up chairs, tables, tents, jumping castle etc). I snuck off for an hour because there is a park at the end of the street that has given a few coins before. Highlights.... A rolls Royce and some bling. Mrs RJ says they are diamonds in the silver ring. I'll get our jeweller to check them out.

Nice rolls and ring RJ,... They do put diamonds in silver, because some people just can't wear gold. :p
