Thanks Ramjet, the headmount wasn't the best, found myself sometimes showing finds that weren't actually visible to the camera, practice makes perfect I guess. Will just have to try to not mumble to the camera, though feel a bit silly talking to myself out aloud sometimes, people passing by probably thought I was a nut job. :D

Yeah sometimes a film a lot of dirt. .. miss the action. I am still getting used to talking to the Cam. I need to talk more. Shit.... cant believe I just said that. ;)
I sometimes am talking and realise I don't even have a camera with me. LOL

Havent been doing any filming, because I dont like headmounts (angle is hard to guess) detector mounted was ok, but a pain to turn the camera for digs. Chest mount is prob the way to go.

Baby sister for the At Pro.

Backup detector? Steal the arm rest and throw it on the Pro! ;)

Back up or for a mate or grandkids to use. Got this local meet soon and I'm sure it'll get used there. It might become my, always in the car detector. Rocket spied it on Gumtree. $120 and just up the road. Bagain.

Everyone says to swap the arm rests. :D

Tough day at the office and I worked hard for my treasure today.Working over a place I've been to before so the good coins are not so thick on the ground. Same spot I got the complete padlock, thimble and 7 penny spill.
22 coins, 1 badge and 111 pieces of trash = 134 targets dug over about 4 hours. Find of the day is the Returned Sailors and Soldiers Imperial League badge. Forerunners of the RSL. The 43 at the top would be 1943. Also got a florin, 1947 of course. The nice commy hapenny was in a hole with one of the pennies.
Relics: Pocket watch or small clock internals, 3 padlocks, fishing sinker was a surface find. I also found the exact same toy engine as I got a week or so ago.

Hi RJ, Just back from a trip to the Triangle and a holiday auction at Lake Eildon. Found the local cricket oval and had a swing. There was a strip of ground that yielded 15 predecimals - 3 Pennies, 3 Halfpennies, 5 Threepences, 2 Sixpences and 2 shillings. No Florins and definitely no sovs, but gee, I was hopin'. We spent 6 weeks in the Triangle and I had hoped to jag a cash coin or 2 or even a pre1900's coin, but not a one. I was happy to pick up a gold ring [5 stones with 2 others bordering the central stone] from a very old house at Waanyarra. All that was left of the house was the pile of rocks from the chimney, a few bits of rusty steel and the occasional bit of broken plate. I hope to get a jeweller friend to have a look at it to see what it would cost to renovate it. What do you think?

Gotta put the photos up now TD.(cause you said about it all),... you're talking two large straights, shilling down. :D

Ain't it amazing how we can go over our worked over ground and pluck florins out(ha). :D

The old RSL badge is good find, even has some of the coloured enamel still intact. As for missing Florins, it's pretty easy to do if working a reasonably large area. Can't hope to hit every single inch of ground, even after multiple visits. ;)

even happens to me as well Gp,... that 1914 florin I got recently was on ground I'd been over before. :D

The Returned from Service badge is a cracker, have purchased a few, but I'd love to find one with the detector. A great post for showing that if you want the treasure you have to dig the trash. Sometimes it's hard to keep going when it's just hit after hit of trash, but the little reward comes and you keep going. Keeps us fit if nothing else :)
