A different plan today. I put the original coil back on and spent 2 hours going over 'flogged ground". I slowed down looked at the quiet , deeper targets. I also dug lower tones I don't usually dig after talking to Rocket and reading the conversation where they hijacked Weaman's topic. :p https://www.prospectingaustralia.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=12172&p=1

Some great info there thanks Paulmarr, Rocket and even Heatho :D No gold rings today but I now have the option to go back over most places I have been and dig the lower tones. :D

All these coins were deep targets. T

Reckon you will strike gold very soon :) Was it easy to convert back to the bigger coil Rod....did it take much getting used to?

Lol at the first penny in the clip, I can't think of the number of times that has happened to me with small coins like the 3p. Spent ages looking for it only to realise it is sitting right next to me, out of the hole. Got to love those deep 1c &2c coins, always thinking they are small deep silvers - they read stupidly high conductivity ID's at times.

Had a bit of a drive around searching for new spots today. A couple of places I didn't even get out of the car. Spent 2 hours at one spot for $5.
Back to a flogged spot to continue the hunt for gold. Got plenty of pull tabs and foil. Seems I got most of the pre decs though with the lonely half penny the only one today. I did find the internals of a watch.

Looks like you didnt leave much there for yourself Rod, at least you know you're being quite thorough from the previous hunts there which is always good to know.
