another great hunt from the master ring magnet.

that pendant with the blue enamel is interesting, that would have been nice when it was new.

i'm not that far from you Art, im in the eastern suburbs and yep it's plenty wet alright

It's stopped for now so my chance of heading back to my patch is looking good. ?

Scoopus Interruptus - I hate that

Still you did pretty well. I had the same thing happen a while back and tried to nurse my scoop through the hunt, but alas it broke completely at the neck.

Glad I bought the welder even though it will rust it'll see me through for a while I hope lol :Y:

Wife came home at 8:15pm from work and I was on the beach detector in hand by 8:30pm.
I wasn't satisfied with my last dig and so off I went but this time I stayed away from the patch I worked before.
Something told me to go in another direction and soon enough up popped a sixpence.
At that moment an elderly gentlemen asked what I found and I said well I've just gotten here and I have a sixpence.
We chatted for a good 15minutes and he told he how he used to work at the mint back in the 60s, 70s..
Was good listening to his story and then I was back into my dig.
Water was black, silt from the creek and seaweed as well as rubbish that washed down made for an interesting night.
3 rings very close to one another, the first was a broken silver ring, the 2nd a silver claddagh and the third a 15 gram stonker religious ring with the words 'God be with you'.
A few coins popped up and then boom Gold with a huge blue stone, all the rings have been there for a long time. The 3 junkers were by the patch I hit the other night as well as the skull pendant and the Anchor pin.
It was a good night and the biggest ring haul for me at 7... :D

Woppa of a gold ring Art . Looks like no one has ever detected that area before . :power:I remember those good old days

Well the only one I know that detects my spot is me... :D
Funnily enough I saw a young lady post my spot but she didn't find anything good.
I have a picture of where the goodies came from.
That red box was perfect channel at low tide.

She's relatively new to detecting so I'll get together with her and Yulia one night and teach her a few tricks. :D

Sweet looking spot GDA - looks perfect for water detecting . What scoop are you using for your water detects mate

Got out last night around 10pm for a low tide swing and I see a big figure in the water and I knew it was Greg, a local bloke I met two nights ago swinging his Ctx3030...
We did different sides of the pier and we both got some goodies.
Greg got a shilling a few spendies one 9ct gold band, 4 silver rings...
I got one 9ct gold band one stainless, a shilling, a penny and 20c in spendies.
We need a good storm to remove a few feet of sand.
Was an enjoyable dig and I'm sure I'll see alot more of Greg.

Not sure of the brand, I got it with the X-terra 705 has (I SS) on the back of it.. It moves alot more sand then the largest Sito scoop.. I'll get a pic and post it up although it's been damaged a bit over the 4 years I've had it

Out today for a quick swing at the seeded beach, my mission was to remove as many as possible in the short time I was there.
Managed to find a $2 and 3x 20c in the mix and then hit a nice 14 signal and yippee a small ring.
I thought it was silver but once I got home I looked under my loupe and it says 375 woop.
