), this just-for-fun competition offers the barest minimum of clues and rewards lucky guessers with the oddest prize list we've ever seen. Good luck!Guess the Coins!
I have a jar full of 'face coins' collected over time, so I thought "why not have some fun and run a coin jar guessing competition?"
Just for a bit of FUN and Frivolity.
So here's my coin jar:
Rules -
1. The Competition is open to all Australia-based Prospecting Australia members only.
2. The Competition will run from Saturday 1st October 2022 to midnight on Saturday
3. The Judge's decision is final.
4. Entry is by way of a 'post' in this Coin Guess Competition thread.
5. Members and Staff may only enter once in each Category of the Competition, additional entries will not be accepted.
(Yes, Staff have no idea, so they get to play too)
6. At the end of the Competition, a list of coins and totals for all Categories will be published.
7. Winners will be contacted by PM, and prizes mailed to them.
8. No exchange of prizes.
Categories are -
1. Total number of Coins in the Jar.
Prize is a Cherry Ripe chocolate bar - YES, the whole bar !
2. Total value of the Coins in the Jar.
Prize is a Mars bar - slightly used.
3. Mystery Coin in Jar. (Inside of folded paper, estimate the denomination and the year).
Major Mystery Prize

The winner of each denomination will be the closest estimate, by total value of coins of that denomination.
e.g. If you estimate there are 11 x 50c, total value = $5.50

1c - 1 x Black Jellybean
2c - 1 x Jelly Baby
5c - 1 x Snake Alive
10c - 2 x Maltesers
20c - 2 x Fantales
50c - 2 x Minties
$1 - 1 x Chocolate Freddo
$2 - 1 x Milky Top Freddo
