Yesterday vs today... Both days big waves and strong currents but the water was so warm I didn't mind being hit by big waves.
The first picture was a different beach from my usual, it was very clean and I was out up to shoulder high just searching for a beep, the ring is Stainless.
The next 3 photos from today at my local, a little sand moved in the channel and it released a Silver ring, an 18k gold and a few coins, it started off OK but after about 2 hours the wind picked up, the waves smashed and crashed and the undertow got so strong I was having to move with it or struggle to detect against it.
Was a good day and a nice swim lol

Very happy with the nox sniffing out the 2nd gold for the new machine, good King low tides next week and the weather is supposed to be pretty good so I'm looking forward to more good finds.
Until next time happy detecting

Your getting your average of 3 rings a day Art :playful: so your on target for about 1000 rings by years end.

If only, winter may be a bit slow unless lots of sand moves, I've always got my waders handy do that may be the ticket for the winter months. :Y:

Well done mate.
Shocked at the amount of rings lost down there.
And there just the ones you find  :Y:

Yeah a local bloke I detect with late nights finds just as many as me, one night I found the 9k he found one exactly the same about 15 metres away from me. I think I'm ahead of him now in ring finds as he hasn't been out for over a week. :Y:

My last 3 detects were good for some exercise, I had a friend come out as he hadn't found a gold ring in over a year. Of course I brought him to one of the spots that has given me alot of gold rings and sure enough he finally got one. Even though there were no hallmarks the colour and the stone setting which I've seen many times before were the clues to it being 916 - 22k...
My friend isn't convinced but I'm 100% sure.

I managed a few rings and two of the same designed rings from different nights, maybe a his and her set?

I got out last night and was bashed by waves, it was more of a scouting mission to see how much sand was moving, a penny and thrippy was a good sign.

Buying a new head torch today then heading out late tonight for the low tide.
Until next time happy detecting

well done again Art. :Y:

Thanks Numpty...

Well Fortune favours the one who wants to hit all the low tides.
Unlike the other scouting night where I was bashed by waves, the surf last night was flat with small ripples and waves.
Started off with lots of scratchy, iffy signals but I dig it all anyway, surprised to see a silver ring and 2c coin in the scoop together, I was thinking it was going to be a 20c piece. I walked from one end of the beach to the other and hit on another silver ring, not long after a nice 14 tid which was a 18ct Gold and Diamond signet. My 2nd Gold 9ct was scratchy and seeing it in the scoop with a piece of trashy metal was a nice surprise.
A very good night and also my permission to go out and do it again tonight.
