The .925 silvers are in great nick, and good to see some some non toasted commies coming out of the ground. Have you ever dipped into the 1800's coinage at that site at all Heatho, or are we talking stupid depths for such coins?
The 1920 came out as shiny as anything GP, very rare for that spot, was in a higher well draining position and not soaking in rich black mud for a long time. No have never found any 1800's coins at any of these spots, though one spot I tried once I got a Cartwheel penny but that was down the road a bit and is almost undetectable ground due to being an old rubbish dump. The Cartwheel was the only good target I got there.
There are some very deep targets at these spots but yeah I have to leave them or the council guy will get upset, might try in a couple of the less used areas and see what comes out but I just don't think much older coins are actually there, oldest was a 1902 Penny.
