couple of florins together.... rippa.

20 cm for the ring! bloody hell mate, well worth the digging though.

It was deep enough that the TID was jumping around a bit but kept giving an 11:48 in between jumping about, so I thought I'd better retrieve it. Was surprised when it came out.

Clean silvers, they came up pretty good.

Struggled today to get any silvers, started at the park where I got the 5 Florins a few weeks back but then got rained out, I waited in the car for an hour for it to stop but it didn't, ended up going back to the spot just down the road from my place, not much left there but still a few good finds to be had.

Scored $25, a Sixpence and a Shilling, all targets were quite deep, I've gotten all the easy stuff previously. :)

At least the deep ground would be easy digging Heatho, they look like they'll come up looking really pretty ! :p

Pretty damned good amount for some straggler goldies Heatho.

Was a narrow area just behind some goal posts, wasn't sure if I'd done it yet, must have missed that area or previously been a bit haphazard and gone too fast originally.

Got out for a few more hours today, hit the really big ovals that have paid so well over the last 6 months, went very low and slow over an area that yielded a lot of silvers previously. These were all quite deep except 1, mostly around 20-25cm and different TID's than the normal 11:33 for 50% sixpence, these were nearly all 9-11:31 which may explain missing a few previously, or probably deeper than I was comfy digging before. Have modified my deep retrieval method for less impact on the grass and mainly went for deep stuff.

Really love the CTX, it really punches deep when needed and still gives reasonably stable TID's and does a great job of picking good targets like silvers and goldies from very close to iron junk when needed in the "ferrous-coin" setting. I mainly hunt in the "high trash" setting but when I know a good target is hiding among iron I just switch to ferrous-coin and it eliminates the iron totally.

A good load of pre-decimals & silver Heatho, I guess the TID is dropping off a bit on the silvers due to the depth. Did they register as being deep targets on the CTX's meter? :)

Cheers mate, yes the depth meter said they were deep, one was 23cm going off what the meter said, was quite happily shocked that it would ping such a small coin that deep. :) Was very deep when I retrieved it, deepest yet.
