Harry Houdini is often wrongly credited with the first powered flight in Australia, it took place at Diggers Rest.

Who do you recon was the first to be credited with a controlled powered flight in the country?

Over to you for the next question.

It's a conspiracy but it is believed there were 2 flights prior, one of them in 1909 the other the day before Houdini. I believe both crashed though.

Colin Defries has been credited with the first Ausie powered flight by the Aviation Historical Society Of Australia as well as The Aero Club of Great Britain. He flew for aprox 100yds at an altitude of 15 feet at a speed of 36 mph. He did then crash but the record was accepted by the relevant authorities. Probably something that will be debated forever.

Another who am I? I suffered from the black dog and was put in one of the most stressful positions in Australia's history.

The Dr has it, Prime Minister John Curtin. He was the wrong bloke to be put in the position of head of the country at the start of WW2.

That one just came to me, just luck. I'd read about him some years ago and thought of him straight away when I read the clue.

Duck, you are sure right that it is hard to think of a new question. I have an idea, but need to research it to frame a question.

Here is an easy one, as the internet is in and out like a fiddlers elbow tonight.

I came to Australia as a young man early in my career, and went on to become one of the most controversial figures of the Victorian age.

This question should not last long in this company!
