3 outings this weekend...
First was 2 n half hours yesterday morning

1954 rams head was the first out of the ground after about an hour of only ringpulls , bottle tops and a few bits of lead
Then the '22 penny followed by the '21 half penny and a heap more rubbish
Visited 3 different tot lots in the late arvo/early evening for a total of $2.75

Then up early this morning to follow up on a hot lead... Was on site at 0530 and left at 0745
All for a grand total of 3 cents :8 and another swag of rubbish.
I still think the site has potential.
There is still an area of around 30 square meters that i didnt check, but is too over grown to get at at the moment.
The area that i could access and hunted has surely had plenty of activity over the years but must have become quite boggy at times as the whole area has been covered with chitter or small gravel making digging a bit of a pain and puting any worthy targets that much deeper

A swings a swing and you still got coin so thats a win in my mind :D, wish i could walk over more silver , you definitely been digging everything i've got weeks to go to dig all the lower targets at the sites i've been hitting but its been a bit hot and windy here lately :( , whats tots? typo? or something like BB's.

"Edit" been watching diggers (their a bit over the top :D ) to get my fix until you guys come along and post and get my blood flowing

Love the Ramshead,... next time take the whipper snipper,... do that when it's in the shade, and go back another time. :)

Cheers mate ,
Ye ive been contemplating that for a while.
Have been keeping an eye on this spot for a while, waiting for the council to give it a tidy up ... Just for me ;)
It got he better of me though, so thought it worth a bit of a look see this morning

Tot lots are simply too tempting to ignore at times, especially the out of the way ones that most detectorists miss. Judging by the condition of those coins, looks like they've been there for a fair while, well done on cleaning up, pretty impressive haul. :)

Great effort mate. Specially in this heat.

Was a bloody struggle i tell you
Had to take a break a few times ... Must be getting old n soft :|
On a serious note though, its not worth pushing it , no matter whats in the ground

'Tot lot' = kids playground
Monkey bars and swings etc
Filled with bark chips ... Designed to catch and hide whatever gets dropped
So we can come and collect it with our magical abuilities

Wow.. its not a word I've heard in many years I think lol. I remember I used to call little potatoes Tater Tots when I was little. ( yes there was a time I was little sandta ;) )

Your day here reminds me of the first massive spill I got at a local park when I first started. Something that's hard to come across nowdays ( local ) for me. Its what keeps me going, finding a heap in one day like that
