Went out for an early morning hunt new years day...
Started out pretty slow , mostly bottle tops
Moved to another section of the park... And it proved to be a good decision...

Havent decided wether to go back this arvo or try my luck in the dry sand at the beach ( much cooler at the beach)

Geez, everyone is hitting off hard on the pre-decs for the end of 2014/start of 2015, some great finds there Sandta, well done. :)

What a way to start the year off m...a.. t. e , so very well done,...setting your own pace there(just quietly). (not very often I use an emoticon at all (mark of respect)).

Good onya Silver thanks for that...
Im really not that special , but appreciate the gesture
Ill make a note of it in my diary

Saturday morning ... Early start to beat the heat ,was the idea...
By 7:30 i was soaked.
I found a few coins , so was pretty happy.

6x1c ,1x2c ,1x$2 ,
2 half pennies -1943 , 1953
4 pennies - 1936,1941,1944,1950( the '36 raised my heart rate ... Till i realised it was a 6)
I packed up and made it to Aldi before opening to get one of those detectors. ( doing my part to prevent one more of those '*********' wrecking our parks) :p

Good onya Sandta,...if only they realised it's all in the chip bark and they don't have to dig, cept with their shoe,...even then they may not fill the hole(being newbs and all).
Still pulling the PDs I see,...was expecting a ring or two in the image though ?

My turn 'on call' again ... Which means restricted detecting... but, not accepting defeat , found myself a park to hunt between jobs on sunday morning( even managed to get 2hours without a call)
Not too bad for just a random opportunity
$14 in goldies , 1x2c ,2x1c and USA penny

2 chunky brass padlocks for the scrap bin
1422222146_image.jpg

That American cent didn't like that soil much, gotta get the steel out of the lock to realise it's worth.

Went down to the park late this arvo for an hour or so ...
Im not sure what my problem was . I felt out of sorts , not comfortable or something
I didnt have any problems , just felt unsettled
Still, i managed to pull out $14.45 and a 925 silver ring :D

I know what you mean Sandta, sometimes I head out not quite being in the mood for detecting (too many things on my mind). I try to push my way through the night, and a few good finds usually get me settled. :)

Well done Sandta, took me a while too to find my first Rams head shilling, the sixpences always seemed to be more common finds. :)

Coin spill,..... firsty for the rams head, and is that an almost rare 1940 {925} rams head shilling to boot ?
Glad to see that happen for you Sandta.

Cheers and Beers.
Silver.

Cheers guys .. :p
1946 is the shilling
And ive just realised  , as i set out to hunt the bark, i was running on near minimum sensitivity and only had a little plastic spade
So i will be going back to re search the area properly ;)

I've had good finds when on low sensitivity and with the batteries almost flat,... those ACE250s are just too awesome,.. hope the re search pays off, you might pop a few 3ds & 6ds with the sensitivity red lining next time,.. the one I hate is where you think the ground is quiet and has been done to death by someone else, when all of a sudden you realise you just had a pre senior moment and forgot to turn your machine on at all,... and you have to walk back and start at the beginning again {then you get the targets you would have missed}, because you would never just turn it on and then go from there(would you).

I HATE WHEN THAT HAPPENS
