gemstones you might be better off posting something in the Treasure Hunting section of the forum as it is more relevant to what your asking. There might be members who are more likely to read something there that might be able to help rather than here in the metal detecting for gold area?
Good luck with it - sounds like you've made a very nice find.
Hi. I'm the other bloke that Walshie mentioned on his post about last Monday. Seeing as tho him and I only got a little spec each thought I'd try to post a pic of my outing before that just around some old digs. See if I can work it out
Cheers Matt
Cheers SC75 I thought so too. I like to think some old digger was slogging away and was probably spewing later when he realised he maybe lost his beer money
Haven't posted in a while because works been crazy, so thought I might add a photo from a recent trip. We just spent a week in central qld with a Z and a couple of 2300's.
Really surprised at how easily the Z can keep up with the sdc on tiny gold (though the 14inch coil is harder to pin point with) ended up with 170 nugglets for just over 1.5 ounces. Some nice species in the mix too.
Shingles I must admit I'm a little bit embarrassed to be following your great haul but I've waited three and a half years to be able to post here. This is my first find, very small but a memorable one for me. Full story elsewhere on this forum, under metal Detectors/Minelab/Eureka gold. I just hope I don't have to wait another three and a half years.
Well Done on your finds.
Congrats on your first find bob, what a great nugget. The first one is always the hardest, they should come easier now.
Try not to stare at it too much, they tend to get smaller the more you look at them.
Nice work Bob, i am also hunting for my first peice so know the feeling, i would be extatic with that find mate.
I heard if you put it away for a while its like a fishing story and gets even bigger
