Managed to get 5 bits for 4g on Saturday. Ground was very wet and noisy so was quite happy with the result. Even more pleased that I managed to stay off the mullock heaps for most of the day and successfully work the slopes.

I didnt want to lower the sensitivity so put up with a little extra noise. I found I was taking more breaks just to re-focus and make sure my concentration didnt wander.

Weather looking wet on & off throughout the week and Sun looking the driest...for those thinking of heading this was (GT)....gears gonna get wet & dirty... :D

Patrick1, have sent you an email, as quite a few from Vic will be at the Maryborough Golf and Bowls Club on Sat night (this weekend) and would also like to catch up. Might even be GGA bulldozer comin a wooping-it through?

Cheers Stru, thanks for that, it's rugged stuff. That rock in the streambed looks like shale?
hey scrounger, i am no expert on rock types....one day maybe, but being in a creek no doubt this gold has traveled some distance and like a lot of palmer gold would have come from conglomerate or possibly quartz leader type somewhere upstream.

Hahaha...sorry i don't think so. My drinking days are mostly behind me these days (save for 'special' occasions), and i tend to avoid town, but if we cross paths in the bush, i'm only too happy to share the fire & coffee.. ;) :D
