Hey Ridge Runner, here's a shot of some of the real small stuff that i'm scrounging with the sdc. I reckon i was onto about 6 around the size of these over the weekend that i just couldn't pin point and get a clear enough signal from in the wet clay soil to retrieve. But i'll be back when it dries out and get them if nobody gets them first! lol

Damn That's Good, Are these On the Surface or down in the ground what sort of depths are you hearing them,

Looking at those Pictures, That SDC is deadly on small stuff, that says a lot about the Machine when it works that Good. You must have a few hours in on it to be finding bits like that, WTG

Nice

I know some on this site (not you) have doubts about the depths it's locating at RR, but a couple of those specs have been down around 7 inches. Most are coming from around 30-40-50 mm deep i reckon. A couple of those in my first pic this morning are coming from around 5-6 inches and deeper depending on the ground (soil) i'm working. I've found that on calm, still afternoons i'm able to locate smaller pieces more easily for some reason?:p

Wally, some days, and in some spots, it's amazing how much of this stuff is around and often where other detector holes are. A lot of it is right beside and on the tracks as well. Still didn't find that bigger one for the comp though mate

Moisture and Detecting after Storms can Double the depth that a detector see's Items In The Ground, yet other days it won't see a thing, I does not surprize me when you talk of such Depths,
I detected the Hell out of the Brother in Laws Mansion and I did used my Musketeer Advantage and My sovereign GT and My GP3500 and this one area I got nothing, That Night it Rained and the Next afternoon I Dug A Small Toy made of Lead weighing 1.5 OZT at 17 Inches with the Sovereign, Someone had used that spot as A Fire Pit for decades, So It just goes to show the effects rain can have. So I don't Doubt A word you Say.

Keep up the Good Work,

John

Wouldn't mind getting half that number at half that size for one days effort over here in VIC.

Can vouch for the SDC, gold every trip.
Me too. Always get something - 100% record with mine since about Aug/Sept last year (didn't detect for 10 weeks Nov/Dec/Jan though). Worst swing lately was 5 for 0.61 gram but most are 1>2 gram totals. Haven't been able to put a full day in for awhile so been happy with what I'm getting in the time I've had available.
They really do pick them up well in the worst ground too. Don't worry about the smalls - they add up. My smalls vial has over 16 grams in it at the moment.

That's why I like machines that can get the small stuff, It Adds Up, A few Vials Of them and your set for your next big trip,

Nice hand sized specie, that Quartz is very dense and unfractured.

Are you tempted to crack it open and see how big the slug is ?

Got out for two hours this arvo and scored these with the 2300. The best thing about them is that i was exploring a new area i haven't searched before and got all of these within 10-15 metres of where i parked the 4WD. And virtually no other detector holes anywhere.
