Well Retirement, you fired me up to go out yesterday and try to crack your benchmark nugget with the 2300. Came up considerably short is gram weight unfortunately but still had a good time as always. The brown ironstone is in the mix because it's giving off a clear signal with the detector, but no visible gold evident.
Memo to self, dig everything!!

Awesome SCROUNGER.

I love SDC gold! It adds up no matter how small.

SDCs are mopping up anything left that the last 30 years of detector technology has not been able to see.

There's so much ground to cover and so little time!

Cheers

RS

Oldfella, i got the itch big time, going out about twice week lately and still dreaming about it. I'm now trying to knock off Retirements record. Could take a while i reckon, but that's cool, i'm up for it. Just as long as he slows down a bit

Hahaha - game on - who will find the biggest SDC nugget in 2015

:p :p :p

So far RS has a 300% lead, but I am prepared to step up to the plate and have a shot of outdoing this record

Bring it on Wally69. :p I reckon the two of us should be able to knock him off his perch. Yes, Retirement may be SLIGHTLY in the lead at the moment, but the rabbit and tortoise my friend, the rabbit and totoise.
Hope he's not reading this

I could watch that in the thread for the remainder of the year. Entertainment with big dollops of Jam. Yummo.

The more the merrier, detectors and nuggets i reckon. Nobody tell Retirement though, we're trying to catch him  before he puts his head up

Thanks RR, i was happy that some of these were actually bigger than many of the tiddlers i've been getting lately. When i get a chance i'll post up some of the real small stuff. Now the ground is wet i'm finding it harder to seperate out the super small bits from the clay soil. When the clay is dry the gold generally just crumbles out of it once in the scoop, not so when wet.

Mate, That Is Truly Impressive, Big Nuggets you can see and Feel but those little Devils Look Like hard work, Let alone being Patient and not giving up,

If you can find them, then the Big ones should be A Push over for you, Well done.
