What a great trip RS  it is good to know the SDC knows they exist bigger than a gram.

How did it sound? And did you get any sleep with that chunker under your pillow?

I honestly cant remember what the initial signal started out like, whether is was subtle and feint or loud? As you know you are digging hundreds of targets a day with the SDC. Walk 2 metres, drop to your knees and start scraping. Stand up........repeat..............

I do remember thinking this ground is getting rock hard whilst digging and how does this trash get this deep as the signal was booming as I got closer like a horse shoe.

Could not believe it when it showed in the scoop.

Gives me great confidence that the SDC does and will find large deepish gold IF its under the coil.

Who was that Turkey that offered someone $2500 for their SDC. Tell em their dreamin!

Cheers

RS

Bloody hell RS. What a loveliiiieee amount of colour. You just given me the kick and reminder i need to make sure i dig EVERY signal i get from the 2300. Well done.

Darn RS, you will need to go back out and find another one now.

Thanks to Yobskins secret spot (somewhere near the ..... ) I know what a bundy rum can sounds like at 30" and it is sweet and mellow. I suspect your nugget at that depth would be a soft murmur, similar to the countless micro-fuggets we encounter.

That is quite a milestone RS, you are the only one with a SDC I know that has broken the gram barrier.

Well done RS, great to see a few of you blokes really getting amongst it and it shows how well "in-tuned" you are with your machines, I've got fingers crossed I'll find my first nug this weekend.

Thanks Pete,

I reckon it takes a few days to get your ears in with the SDC.

I run the SDC on 5 and loud as possible in the headphones. I can only describe it like listening to a tent full of mossies listening for when a blowfly enters. That's your signal.

You can test the sensitivity settings with a tiny piece of gold. Pass is over the top of the coil on all the settings, on 5 even a flake will scream out a signal. Knowing this keep the coil to the ground, wear out that skid plate. Scrape off 10mm of dirt, its the difference between getting close enough or not.

Its all learning and I still have plenty of that to do. Read the ground, get the gold.

Cheers

Hey Craig

first time on for a while so a bit of catching up to do , talk about killing the pig !!! great score mate look forward to more posts , you really have that machine in tune with your ears and can not agree more with the methods you use re settings. It's worth putting up with the mozzie tone for that sort of gold , feels like you have struck a blow for other SDC owners and lovers.

cheers mate
