It was a loud signal straight away initially assumed it to be a large chunk of iron i am certain i would have picked it up at a deeper depth.
The location is not a secret patch as i seen at least 1/2 a dozen other prospectors in that gully the day i found it.

Lovely piece Swinging & Digging!!

Here's a better pic of the piece I got the other day with the GPX5000, Fine Gold, and Coiltek Mono Elite. 4.15g of Adelaide Hills gold.

Thanks all,

I actually got sick of digging this last trip. So many tiny lead shot, tacks, 3mm thin pieces of wire. The SDC really makes you work. I was exhausted and had enough some come home a day early from a 4 day trip. The above was 3 full days digging and scraping.

Like you guys with the SDC only, I will look at a GPX???? later in the year. It would be nice to walk further than 10 metres before digging another tiny piece of lead. Those camo coiltek coils seem like the go.

On the upside it all adds up and with alluvial...............my first ounce. The gold price on the news has now become a whole lot more relevant!
