Great hunt mate :) I would be stoked with a batmobile!
I couldn't believe it when I saw it,... went straight into my shirt pocket for safe keeping. :D

Great hunt Silver, the Batmobile sure brings back some good memories. I'm pretty sure mine ended up buried in the bat cave, somewhere out in the garden shrubbery. :D

It's actually in pretty good nick considering all the windscreens are still intact, usually they would be the first things to disappear down with the worms. Pretty sure it had the pop out cutter on the front of the bonnet, and the working rocket launcher operated by a small metal thumbwheel. :)

GP, I think that the windscreens may have been saved by the fact that batmobile was upside down in the ground,... it does look like it has a pop out cutter on the front in the middle,.... it also looks like it had a release mechanism on the left side rear top behind the drivers seat area(yank side), to the left of the three stacked exaust pipes, unless that was to pop out the exaust fumes(maybe),... but I can't see anywhere that would have accomadated a rocket launcher at all. :D

Awesome hunt Silver, well done mate. :)
Thanks heatho, I enjoyed that one a lot(might have to take P305 to that spot next time"ha"). :D

Hey Silver, I remember the Bat Mobile when I was a kid and the stacked exhaust thingy was the launcher, the rotating thing next to it was the control to launch them, you turned it with your thumb and out they launched out.

The flick out knife thing in the front came out when you pressed a button with a cross in the rear centre of the bonnet just in front of the windscreen.

Hope that helps and makes sense.

I see it,.. it's in my hand right now(ha), there may even still be one rocket in th left side launcher(unless that's just dirt),.. full on fellas, I'm enjoying it again now in a new light. :D

You will be a Batmobile toy expert before we are through silver, the car they are referring to was a slightly bigger scale where yours is the matchbox scale car - both collectable and restoration parts are available as people do restore them believe it or not ... Search US eBay and enlighten yourself!

I wonder if I opened the hole back up, would I find batman and robin still in the dirt ?

THE TEN CENT HUNT. ;)
Got out today for a field trip with P305,... i took out the money win for the day, but Phantom took out the rest,... he was straight in, head first through a tangle of undergrowth hiding the tunnel entrance to a snake pit that leads to the fires of hell itself,... and that was because his eagle eye had spotted a leed soft drink can in the shadows within that he deemed to good to bother about snake venom(any way, we could always call a medivac and get a chopper in if he gets bitten) getting into his veins.
Here's the money shot,... 100 km round trip(roughly) for this. ;) but worth every cent of it. :D (only coin of the hunt)

Here's that old leeds can(circa 1970s) that phantom305 slid out from the bowels of old mother earth. (note that it's not 375 mls, but 370 mls)

Here's an old bottle that Phantom wanted real bad too.
1447399589_sam_3959.jpg

He found it himself, and said that rules were meant to be broken,... especially when he read what it said on the side.

Didn't matter that it was only a screw top at all,.. but just because it said NOT TO BE TAKEN on it. ;)
Was a great day,... we looked at an old ghost town site, but not one signal other than iron on it,.. we headed for an old race track, but someone was living on it,... we looked at two old house sites, but the tall grass and lantana as well as all the rubbish made that impossible,.. so we called in on an unknown member of the world and asked nicely if we could detect around her place,.. lovely lady that she was, was only too happy to let us dig and give us the guided tour of the land and all the history of it and the surroundung area,... Streuth,... we will be back for sure, and she was only too happy to have us back again any time,.... that's where the leeds can came from,.. (30 more metres of that into the earth to explore with torches yet) and it's all littered with bottles and cans(apparently). :D

Some top awesome finds going on there silver! I've missed a few pages!
Thanks AR :D ,it's all still happening,... albeit a little slower nowdays,... I'm still watching paint dry between coats :p and nursing my body through it at the same time(still feel like detecting all the time though). :D

He just washed it with his hands and Palmolive Antibacterial liquid hand wash,... I watched him clean it myself,.... mind you though, it did come out of a tunnel, so it was quite well protected during its discarded life. :D
No soaking at all either,.. the whole opperation took about 30-50 seconds from start to finish. :D
