The only thing there i suppose is to make sure that you have finished the site yourself first,... and then maybe just put the coins shallow under the grass, so that they bed down again naturally over time, like a normal lost coin,... and yet hidden enough from the discerning eye of the random specker.
And definately where they would be expected to be. I just hope they are going to be satisfied with BBs,.. I guess by then(shortly in the future) one would be only too happy to get a find thats not a pull tab,... and wildly excited to hear about tales of the old days when we used to pull all sorts of stuff out of the ground(ha),.... even old silvers ;) , and hopefully(still hopeing) stories of old gold coins too. :D

Had a One coin hunt today(had three seperate hunts altogether).
It was a better one than my recent one cent hunt,.... I specifically went looking for silver at the same spot as the 1c.
And came up trumps on an iffy signal in solid clayey old upturned soil,.... had a deeper can underneath it(I felt it and left the can in there for another time).
Shilling 191?

Probably 1912

But the close up doesn't seem to settle the matter at all(too much info in the pixels)

New it was in there somewhere,... just glad I didn't scratch it with all the noises going on in the hole. :p

Will it clean up alright? I would of thought being silver and bit of electrolysis and bicarb it should come up ok maybe ?.

It is amazing how a little coin can produce hours of entertainment - I am going to call it a 1912

Enjoy the clean up Silver.

I will try giving it a bit of a clean up and we will see how it turns out. :)
Myself,...I been wishing it to be a 1915h(ha),... very very wishful thinking indeeed. :D

And my last hunt yesterday(later in the day), it was almost dark when I started, and it reminded me of me old departed mate who used to hunt this very spot,....nice rewards from here,.... he was a religeous old fella,... did that spot religeously at any rate(ha),... now I know why. ;)
