The five minute hunt(in the bark at the park).
Minus the two little bits of Alfoil

School pickup was happening real soon and Mrs Silver and No.1 Son still needed picking up first(I was cutting it fine too). :D
The phone did ring too,...Mrs Silver "@$#%^%& *&^%%%$# $#$@%$%^^^&*%%%$#"
And that's why I only got $2.30 today (ha). :D

It was written in the coins Silver - pick up at 2:30 ;)
Right you are Wally,.... I couldn't see the forest for the trees.

Got to take the opportunity to whip the detector out when you can Silver. ;) Used to do the same when the missus was at exercise classes, would pull out the detector and have a quick rummage around the parking meters. :D

I'm hopeing to Avail myself of another five minutes at least tomorrow,... soon as Mrs Silvers head is turned(ha). ;)

And I did,... and got absolutely nothing though,.... was showing a potential Newb the ropes with the ACE250, and we got plenty of canslaw, ringpulls and screwcaps, but no coins at all,.... luckily he witnessed some of the hunt on post #918 on this thread, so he is already hooked(a little bit),... he got to swing the ACE and dig targets and use the propointer as well, so if he gets a detector when he goes home he will be off to a good start(maybe). :)

P305 and I had a hunt today to see how we would go,..p305 did the parks and I did the peripherals and beyond to see how we would fare with the ACE250 verses the MINELAB305,... with all the proceeds going to P305 for the day(except any PDs We may find to be kept personally). Phantom recons the parks had been hit hard by other detectorists very recently, (!)s :D ACE250 finds
Decimals.

1442577382_sam_3271.jpg

old bottle and the 305s rubbish.
1442577382_sam_3272.jpg

Heres the ACE250 silver find,...1952 shilling.
1442577461_sam_3275.jpg

And here it is all cleaned up with CLR and a light bi-carbing.(still some clingy stuff remains).(looks much better now)

obviosly the ACE250 doesn't find rubbish targets(not),... oh hang on I forgot that picky(ha). ;)

Good to see a bit of friendly competition :D
Lots of fun when you go hunting in packs,... you never know who will find what on the day,.... ya might end up cleaning up or you could go home empty handed,... P305 scored $20.00 for the day out though all up(with combined cash finds), so that wasn't too bad. :D
He had worked up a hard earned thirst too(couldn't even drink the whole twenty dollars worth though before he ended up snoring "big day out"). ;)

I took P305 to an old spot that my Dad had shown me more than 35 years ago,... was hard to find as well,... went past it first without seeing it,..was only for the small water tank at ground level that made us look harder through the bush for the two giant mango trees(just living their life out in the wild now),.. we only did under the trees really,... no coins at all for either of us. It was nice to find a place that no one had ever done at all(we both agreed).
P305s finds first
could imagine someone in the bush, relaxing under the mango trees playing their Harmonica too.

And shooting bats and rats maybe.
1442654004_sam_3348.jpg

we wern't sure if this could be from a pair of suspenders
1442654035_sam_3341.jpg

My finds second.
Two bells there,.. I was thinking bicycle bells , but Phantom recons maybe from an old telephone(thus the two of them found not far apart).
1442654065_sam_3350.jpg

Fob Watch part,... couldn't find any more of it though.
1442654102_sam_3344.jpg

Four foot Brown Snake  , long grass  , mosquitos  , and feral pig rooting marks all over the place  didn't deter us from our goal(no not at all). ;)
Oh, and there was no house left there 35 years ago either,... but it was all cooch grass back then,... turkey nests everywhere gave us some reprieve on the walk in and out from the long grass, as the turkeys had kept the under tree areas nice and neat. :D

that small bullet case at the bottom right looks like an old pin fire case.
hate to be a pain but could you take another pic of it please, that would be a rare find.
