Nope Caspar

My father and grandfather were both publicans, and the plate was from the pub in Sydney my Grandfather had in the early 1960's, called AAron's Exchange Hotel, so called
because it was near the wool exchange in Gresham st Sydney. It was a pretty flash pub in those days.

I wish I had a few more of the plates, as those things are really collectable these days. It would be great to find some at Vinnies!

Here is the bar in 1957.

Two all beef patties ,a bit of cheese , on a sesame seed bun
YUMMO :p

Was reliving my very youthful days Sandta. There is onion on the top patty.

Hard Luck, you're the BBQ king. I haven't fired up this year, have to fix that tomorrow!

Go for it DrDuck. Nothing like a good BBQ. And I do enjoy the pics of the meals you cook. They get me hungry. :)

Mrs Silver was wanting to cook tomato and onion relish after she spotted some well priced tomatoes the other day.
So without further ado, we got into it today.
Here it is before the extras went in.

and here's the finished product,.. we ended up with 20 variously sized jars(and I got to use a teaspoon full of my 12 year old dried birdseye chillies in it too),... gives it a nice mouthful of tingle as you taste, with a bit more heat if you go glutton on it(ha). ;) :D

Looks great Silver. Kids are always complaining when i make something like that that it is to hot.
Mind you, the last batch I made earlier this year could peel paint...lol

Picked up some Gammon at Aldi over the last week.
When I first saw it I had no idea what it was but I soon learned it is pre prepared pork, ready to cook and make into a ham.

Aha!! I thought. No need to wait 2 weeks brining some pork to get ham. So Off I went today.

Turned out good. But I reckon it will really shine once it has cooled down.

Yep, can see 'em now, looks fantastic. Have to go down to Aldi to see if I can get one!

Funny thing. I could originally see some of the pics in the posts up the page, but now all of them, except those last ones have that error symbol

It has been a bugger of a day for broken internet.
I had nothing since Friday night.
Will admit I had a few patch's of internet but it has only just been restored.
Telstra doing upgrades here in Tathra and the only notification was on their webpages.
Not good if you can't see them.
