None of these have been detected as far as we can tell. Lots more lawn to do yet. About 8 of those pennies came from a large room sized bit of lawn outside the front door. Only found out about the church this arvo. Research tonight and hit it in the morning.
This church site is looking good. First church built 1858, Second church 1870, third church 1916. Unused for many years and removed about 5 years ago. Doing some research on this town and I may never go home. Too much detecting to do.
2 hours at the old church site. It'll take me a week to cover it all. Surprised at the amount of moderns but the church was used for wedding receptions etc until it was removed.
The roof had been replaced at some point so there was a ton of lead washers. Respect to all of you that detect in the bush. I'm used to nicely mown lawns. Swinging the detector in grass n weeds up to a foot high is challenging.
She's a purdy one. Wasn't sure about donating it to the the local museum. Glad I did because I got a little good karma from it. I'm welcome back to detect the rest of the museum site and the church site. The nice lady is going to help me with permissions for other sites in the area. One is a church that is now a private residence. Winning.
RAmjet will move there soon. People will see me detecting solo, and say "didnt you have a detecting buddy?" I will say yeah, but he has gone, to the great detectorist honey-hole, and they will feel sad for
me lol
