Had a day of interesting finds today. A bit slow on the pre decimals but the first was a florin so YAY me. :D
My first webbing hardware, button and projectiles are my military finds. The button is RAAF but I couldn't see the same one with a quick search. I also found the small pocketknife and cap gun.

Had a slow start to the day. I was advised to leave the first location. After a few hours and 3 locations I had $4.04 and a few relics shown in pic 1.
Pic 2 is the first 5 coins I found at my 4th spot. The First coin I get is the shilling, followed soon after by the sixpence. The threepence was sun baking. Just laying in a patch of bare soil. I think I have it and some of the other finds on video.
To top the day off I got the florin a couple of hours later.
in the relics department I got the biggest sinker I have ever seen and a large sheet of lead folded plus some pieces possibly from the renovation of an historic building. Found them right up close to it.

Another '47 ?
The trick to finding all those florins Rocket , is to not empty your finds pouch properly.... Recycling (so to speak)

Full house day,.. strike that off your Predecimal wish list RJ,... Florin, Shilling, Sixpence, Threepence, Penny and Halfpenny all in the one days hunts.

Only 20? Your not tryin Rod ;-)

Actually, I reckon I am due a florin this week!

Sorry I have ten florins and 4 are 1947. Edited my earlier post.

Heatho an older gentleman came over and told me it's private property and the owners have called police on detectorists. It's all open and I thoughe it was public land. On the way out I saw a sign selling it as blocks of land. Assume that the development company own it.

It's amazing to see what coins are still sitting on or very near the surface, maybe it was mistaken for a 5c coin by people walking by. The two silvers I picked up last night were almost sunbakers, literally only a cm or two under the surface. A while back I found a florin sitting on the surface behind a park bench, makes you wonder.
