I should have stayed home. That is all I have to say about that.

BB.....bugger! Interesting relics though.

You cursed me with that BB King crap. ;)

Lol :)

The otherday I could identify BBs, because they constantly bounced between 40 oneside, and 42 the other. They did it the entire hunt, but I still dug them of course.

looks like smoking Joe was changing an oil seal and busted his little hammer, got the munchies and broke his belt as he climbed back under the vehicle, looks like he may of had some carbie trouble as well(long shot there),... was there an old abandoned vehicle nearby at all RJ ?,... I say old as the hammer handle may have composted over time.

Think its time Rod, to put the big coil on, and find the deeper stuff, that your small one missed?

You may be right Rocket. A guy on FB put his bigger coil back on his Pro and found good coins where he had been with the smaller coil. Now that I have more experience.....

Well, yeah. They say the old silvers are deep, and easier to find, now that you have cleared the top layers.

I don't know about cleared the top layer. Over in the park today where people had camped for the music festival and there are literally hundreds of bottle tops. Some already pressed into the soft soil. A nightmare for future detecting. The campers who left the mess should be ashamed. They are allowed to camp for the festival Dozens of empty bottles and cans, fires lit on the lawn and burnouts on the sports fields. Disgusting. I did collect half dozen tent pegs. I should have taken garbage bags but I guess the council will clean it up.

Thats really slack, wonder if the council provided enough bins though. So much rubbish in our parks, but its hard to find as well.

My feeling is that if you can carry a full bottle/can or whatever in you can carry the empty out. The council was there Friday setting up extra bins, toilets, lights etc.
Broken camp chairs and other thing where in the fires. Melted plastic all over the place.
Buggers could have thrown out some $$$ or jewellery for me.

Mrs Ramjet had appointments today and still no car from the flood. So I had to take the day off work to play chauffeur. It's a tough life.
Of course I took the opportunity to check out new spots near where she had to be. The 3rd spot has the most potential. Only had 20 minutes but got 4 finds. Firstly a nice little sterling silver ring with blue stones. Anyone know what they are? The threepence and sixpence were picked up in one swing of the coil about half a Metre apart. Lastly before I had to leave was a half penny. No trash either. Definitely be going back there. The pool token isn't very old but still something new to add to the collection.
