I think they might be Aquamarine Rod. I could be wrong as it's bloody hard to tell sometimes but they don't quite look like Sapphs to me, though they could be. The colour of Aquamarine is more similar in my opinion. Nice ring regardless mate, Aqua is a great stone too, from the Beryl family as are Emerald.
Went back to the place I found the ring and silvers last hunt. Got a few pennies and another ring which is unfortunately a junker. A couple of interesting finds are the unfired shotgun shell base and the Australian Legion of ex servicemen and women badge. I believe it's a 48 at the top which means the owner was a paid up member in 1948. The serial number on the back can be traced to whoever it was issued to. To top it off I got a sixpence on my way back to the car.
I did a lot of Ks for my finds today. First place I spent an hour at for 2 cents. Then I spent over an hour going around the netball courts where a gala was held on the weekend for zero. Finally at the 3rd spot I managed a few pre decimals. I got a penny and 2 half pennies in a mini spill and another pair of pennies. The ring is 925 silver made by the famous jewellers Thailand The Johanna pendant is junk and the other little ring is aluminum. Got a couple of good live digs on video.
looking forward to the video, enjoy watching other people find stuff from the comfort of my chair
I have to get a chest mount for my Gopro so I can share the joy of daytime digs.
It was lightly raining when we arrived at today's spot. It just got worse and worse until we decided to pull the pin. I found 2 x three pence and managed to lose one along with a $2. 8.(
On the plus side it is a promising spot, I got a Malay $1 and an American quarter. I thought I had some war dropped coins until I get home and clean them, both 1991
Anyone got an idea what the copper objects in the last 2 pics are? They seemed to be everywhere and look like they have exploded.
So the weather didnt get any better as the day went on i got flogged on at the beach yesterday morning. It rained all the way to Sydney Olympic Park and all the way home.
Hey RJ , you lost a threepence....I just found one this morning on the back step must have thrown it out yesterday morning with the wash water/sand
