First day back at work after the big storm. I left early to allow for any detours from road closures. Luckily there was only 1 minor detour. So I had about 40 minutes to kill and always have the Pro with me. Checked out a spot I'd had my eye on. Only the 1 pre dec but in 40 minutes I did OK. At least I know it's worth going back to invest a bit more time in. With the 2 lock pieces and the padlock there are either very security conscious people or criminals in the area. :8

Usually I like youngsters following me around and I always talk to them. Today I had 3 about 9 or 10 years old. They kept crowding me and getting it the way. One of the little blighters stepped on the shaft of my detector.... TWICE! GRRRRR The second time he was using it as a foot rest. I'd only been there ten minutes and had found the 2 lock surrounds and $1. But the kids annoyed me so I moved to another spot. In 20 minutes I'd found the Penny, 2 cents, $3 and the padlock.

Forgot to mention that at the second spot 2 young girls came up to me and they were a delight. The youngest kept tossing her precious ring in the grass for me to detect. Mummy was easy on the eye too

Yes some kids are fine and others are downright rotten, will probably grow into annoying and rotten adults also.....

How deep have you found bb's??. Pick my pro up on tuesday and have a few spots worth chasing some gold on. Just curious how sensitive it can be seeing as it isn't designed for it

By BBs I mean Brown Buggers.... 1 and 2 cent pieces. I find mostly there are 4 inches or less. It will pick up gold if it's a big enough piece and it's shallow enough. They are designed as a coin/relic detector. The At Gold is obviously the equivalent gold detector.

Today I got just what I deserved. Left for work early and stopped at a spot I've taken florins from before. My thinking was that I'd show Rocket how easy it is to find them. So Karma gave me only bottle tops and BBs. :8 On the plus I was late for work. Oh well I guess I'll have to leave early to balance it out.

Put in a couple of hours after work last night. Only a few pre decs and no silver. The pennies are all early. Pennies are 1917, 1922 and a 1907 Britannia. Only the 3rd Britannia I have found. A 1922 halfpenny to go with the penny. Pity the heart pendant isn't real gold. The small buckle was about 6 inches down.

Hey Ramjet, Don't worry about contact with Garrett mate they are fantastic. I've had two warranty issues and they jump all over the issue to get it fixed. First was a plug issue with my first set of headphones and they replaced it without question and then The bottom shaft of my ATX kept pulling out when I extended it. I sent photos to Roy of Warranties and he sent me the bits so I could repair it. If your detector is an overseas purchased one then you may have some grief, but surely they'll repair it for you even if it costs you a bit. I'm really happy with the warranty hassles I've had. Cant fault them.

LOL. You fools.

So I bolted the camera to my head and gave it a test drive while it was detecting last night. It worked ok I reckon. Notice in the last scene that after 2 hours in remembered there is a torch on the detector as well. :8

It would have been interesting if anyone went by and saw me talking to myself.
