On the hustings , had several hunts over the last coupla weeks . Some coinage around and silver , but the gold has been elusive . Detectors used Knox , CTX Excalibur 2 . Here are the pics .

The chain I thought might of been rhodium plated stainless steel , but it tested positive for silver with a 68% nitric acid solution. Tiffany earring was a bonus .

The rings and earrings on the right in the bottom picture are sterling , should be a thrippy there somewhere also.

First pick was a seperate hunt with the 2 rings on the left being silver.

Second picture the chain is rhodium plated stainless steel.

Out and about for 2020 , been on a couple of hunts , ran into a few of the members from PA on holiday and showed them a few places to have a detect and a drink . Anyways here are a few picks.
The silver chain theme continued into 2020. With the the chain pendant being picked up on a second pass. Interesting Santiago Zoo entry/ commemorative coin/token was found amongst some petrol money .

Detectors used - Nox and ctx.

Chain was a heart stopper , unfortunately it was an imitation . Decided to detect with the Excalibur in about nine feet of surf . Calm day and no northern sweep so conditions were good for a snorkel.

This hunt the detector used was the CTX . Main focus was the run out tide and zigzagged in the swash to about 2 feet of water . Went head over a few times after getting my legs tangled up with the detector and sand scoop . Watch was a nice pick up and was still keeping time when found .

Next couple of hunts back onto the silver theme with a couple of ring finds . Once again the gold ring was costume . Detector used was the Nox in these 2 hunts with some rum and cokes shared with the fellas?. Cheers fellas , see ya next time.
