Goodday detectorists, did some acid testing on some likely looking silver finds , bulls horns came up positive

The chain did not react , so I will try a different acid concentration , could be titanium or silver . Keep you posted . The ring with the stone is copper , will clean up the the chain a bit more to see if I get a reaction .

Have not been on in a while , reason being my car was stolen a while back and also my detectors . I have registered the serial numbers with minelab as stolen but I will put them on here just in case someone pics up a detector second hand unsuspecting it may be stolen goods.

Might be worth checking your household contents policy too, they sometimes cover items from vehicles etc.

Damn that really sucks Dan... The two girls I detected with, Sam and Jess had their 3 detectors stolen from their car as well... At pro, xterra 705 and Excalibur... Cops had no luck finding them or the culprits.

Finally out and about after a bit of turmoil .

Anyways had a couple of hunts and picked up some nice finds .

A couple of silver chains were highlights , with some intetesting tokens to local attractions . What I thought was a silver spoon in a trashy area turned out to be a junkie utensil , you can see the heat marks from the flame under it.

The rings are just costume - however there is a nice mimco amongst them . The second larger chain i acid tested , for a positive result , then I realised I had tested it right on the hallmark - I could still make out the 2 and 5 - murphys law hey
