Congratulations on your first threepence and the wee silver ring, not a bad session at all.

Only ever been lucky to find a single dime so far, fortunately it was a mercury silver dime.

thanks GP, i thought it was another 1 cent coin!. its very stained, i gave it a CAB and CLR but it didnt clean?

Strange, should clean up ok, over 90% copper with some Nickel thrown in for good measure, though if heavily oxidised, it may not be aggressive enough, or require an extended bath.

Electrolysis should clean it well, just don't leave it too long if you give it a go. It will usually get rid of all the crustys, and leave pitting on the coin where ever any oxidation is apparent.

Post 161 you mention ring,... POW,.... post 162, ring a ding ding, you have to BELIEVE (ha) in that.
Not to mention the first thrippy,.. gotta have an ear in for them ( gettin good there numpty) ,... and a dime for the coin comp.

I SMASHED IT TONIGHT at the same spot, had $1-40 odd after about an hour then hit a 10x10 M patch..........after about 2 hours....$84-47 :lol:

i couldn't move 2 feet before id get another target once i hit the patch

i wish some of em were pennys AR..... yeah got a few smalls tonight but no 5 centa's.

GP im still going to the only spot where iv'e found PD's , tonight was about the 8th time iv'e been there, most times im only there 45 minutes to an hour and a half but im really stoked tonight even though i didnt get my usual PD's.

would of been awesome to spend 6-8 hours at a time at this place
