Have slowed it down and same thing mate....and I always overlap. For instance at the 1850s site I went over the area again and again and each time new targets and some of the regular ones which are very deep. I will go out with the 505 and see how that performs next week.....No time over the next few days, MOVING day Saturday YAHOO!!!

BTW: Good to see you B5 was wondering where you'd been....MIA more than a day!!! lol :Y: :Y: :Y:

Thanks Gda  :Y: just got back from a junk collecting adventure
New house new parks ;) :Y:

Went back out for a dig to the new area and it wasn't the best but I did find a complete bottle with Cap attached, also found a button, $2, 20c, 5c, brownies a long piece of aluminium one half penny and some junk.
Decided to try another section 150 metres away and hit on a crisp sounding 42 which would be the 1943 half penny and thought I am on to a winning spot, the grass was long and hadn't been mowed for a while and it made things difficult but I soldiered on. The next target was a rusted old 1947 Penny it is the worst conditioned one I have found so far.....more Goldies followed and then some dude came along and just stood and watched me so I buggered off to another spot which wasn't really on the agenda but I wanted to see if my instincts were right.
It's funny because the first target I hit in this spot was a nice 1958 penny, I hit upon some half pennies and Goldies as well.
There are a lot of targets in all of these areas but I just know they are junk, ring pulls, bottle caps and such because all of the targets are within 20 - 30 cms of each other and when you dig one you just know.
Anyway I have some good spots to have a swing over the coming months so that's a good thing. :)

Cheers GDA.....I hope you're finding some awesome treasure and having fun at the same time. :Y:

My wish is to stumble upon a mine field of Pre-Decimals, Silvers now that would be awesome.

Interesting mix there GDA...is that truck a Hot Wheels version?

Meat hooks are usually a bit bigger imo, tho it 'could' be used for that i guess...with all the variety in one spot, hard to say for sure what it's original purpose....

Looks like your having loads of fun at any rate... :Y:

Cheers

Yes true about the meat hooks, this one is solid even though it's as big.
Very much enjoying the hunt mate and the Truck is (Matchbox) 1979, My son said to me... Dad, Mum said you have a new car can I see it and so I gave it to him and he said oh this is heavy is it made of metal, I said yup it sure is. Good quality.

Cheers GDA

Cool finds there GDA..Gotta be some Silvers there somewhere :Y:

One would think there'd be more Silvers around. One can only swing over the target and dig it. :)
Keep Swinging and you'll get em....your finding pennies..so there there Somewhere...Looks like alot of fun to be had there either way..Y:

Looks to be a later version then, as the 'wheels' give it away as a 'revised' production after 'Hot Wheels' came out offering competition...
(edit~ :8 ..oops, overlooked the 1979 date..lol)

Still good value regardless, as imo, 'Matchbox' are the more collectible...

Looking forward to what else you liberate and reveal...

Looking good GDA with some of your finds , how thick is the guild on the snake ring ?she looks s beauty

Hmmmm the thickness I have no idea mate, has me wondering though....Very sure it is Silver underneath with a 34 TID number.

I can no longer dig discretely in my areas because it is too populated, I would rather no one around but even at 1 am in the morning there are people walking around and I think to myself, go home and sleep you weirdos. LOLOL They probably think the same thing as me. :) :D :D :D
