Latest forecast from John's Weather Channel

"We think this will go a long way in extinguishing most of the ? fires in NSW.

Rainfall estimates in millimeters from the GFS model for the next event for eastern NSW the main focus near and east of the ranges with 100-400mm possible right up and down the coast.

If this comes to pass, you South Coast boys better batten down the hatches.

Looks like its going from one extreme to the other. Should put out many of the fires and promote a bit of growth. Hopefully the farmers to the south west can get a drenching as well. Really worried that the run off will take ash, soil and silt into the catchment areas and stuff up some of the major water supply dams. This was a major problem for Canberra when it burnt almost twenty years ago. It will however be really nice to see creeks flowing and dams full.

Had a couple of heavy down pours here in Tathra last night.
Cloudy with a bit of Sun shine at the moment.
Apparently our turn is coming late tomorrow and Monday. :cloudy: :cloudy:
