Been raining all night here ..Lake amacquarie

Not far away from you hardly got a drop overnight, and nothing today. BOM said 80% chance of showers i.e.20% chance of nothing , they got the 20% - 100% correct.

Out of 4 days since rain started here, been raining 85% of the time and good heavy rain also.

Looks like its going from one extreme to the other. Should put out many of the fires and promote a bit of growth. Hopefully the farmers to the south west can get a drenching as well. Really worried that the run off will take ash, soil and silt into the catchment areas and stuff up some of the major water supply dams. This was a major problem for Canberra when it burnt almost twenty years ago. It will however be really nice to see creeks flowing and dams full.
