I went down to Merewether and had a look at the beach today with the young bloke and yes the ocean is a mess.

Looks like theres plenty of sand missing uncovering that lost sovereign for you!

Good luck mate.

I got down to the beach after work , a bit late ,as the tide was already on its way back in.
Well the big seas sure did its work on this beach , there is a group of rocks in the middle of the beach that i have NEVER seen before
Found myself a patch of crusty coins , $10.30 in total...and a silver ring :D

I came across a few other targets ... Big footprints... I had a go at a couple of them for curiosity ...
Jokingly , i thought they must have been parts of a broken up ship ;)
Not sure i wasnt wrong

A few pretty toasted coins there mate. Been in the sand a while I guess. Very nice ring. It should clean up really nice. But the find of the day is that can. Remember those bloody round button where almost impossible to push in sometimes.

What a nice can, I remember those round holed ones, that was about the time we used to puncture the lower part of the tin with a nail after we had shaken the cr@p out of it,...used to be a lot of fun trying to drink a can of fizzy while it was shooting at you full boar,.. the things we do as juveniles hey. Looks like a nice Carnelian in the ring, and those coins must be just above the PD layer.
So bring on that weather with the big seas.

Ah the days when pc meant Pepsi cola, not personal computer or political correctness.

I have some old (empty) cans I retrieved from a state school demolition a few from the ages.

Love the can, I remember them from my childhood at the local chicken shop (before KFC came in), along with other now defunct brands like Leed Lemonade and Tab Cola. As a kid they were a pain to push the small tab in, used to use a coin or something to do it.

Fancy ring, looks quite old too - should clean up nicely. :)

I went out for a stroll this morning as well, but I was on the Southern Comfort, { (Bundy Rum and Hahn Superdry Heavies mixed together) Stinger(MY name for it) }, so I wasn't very switched on this morning, at least you were on the PDs Sandta.

I think i must have offended the 'Treasure Gods' with my post this morning :(
I wasnt very well rewarded this arvo ... 5c being the only coin

The tide was a bit lower than it has been lately,
I got amongst the rubble( rocks sized between marbles and golf balls with a few larger) thinking it may be a good trap or gathering point. Found part of a lock and the brake lever.
I found the necklace/bracelet thing near a boulder at the other end of the beach.

Very industrial looking necklace,..5c is better than non cents(ha).
I got another gun, just about to post it.

What the heck is that thing, looks like it belongs around a Pharaoh's neck - pity it wasn't gold, studded with valuable gems! 8)

Ive been trying to clean up those coppers i found the other day...
To my surprise the half penny is a 1900 britannia

I dont think im gonna be able to date the penny , but can make out the rings of a commonwealth penny
