She's an oldy sixpence - nice score, hopefully it cleans up well! Kinda freaky, as I got a 1919 threepence tonight as well.

I cleaned one up with a hammer myself once(ha),... it's hard to type when you are laughing so hard(at myself for being funny), but,... hopefully, after you give it a bit of electrolysis it will come out looking like this one Sandta.

after all Silver is Silver.
P.S I see your coin is the same on both sides.

I had another go down the beach after work today
Got a nice silver taurus zodiac charm , a few crusty coins , a broken cast plane , a couple of lumps of lead and a heap of pull tabs

The charm is now soaking in vinegar to get the rest of the encrusted stuff off

Amazing the paint is still on the plane

That'd be a spit fire maybe ?,... I used to love flying toy planes around the place as a kid(two at a time) banking and loosing altitude at the same time and shooting at each other(inside and out),.... needed two hand on one plane for loop the loop though,... took me right back to being six or seven then Sandta.

Away again today/tonight . Left home 4am, finished on site 4:30 this arvo....organised accommodation ,a bite to eat ,then straight down to the local beach till 8pm
1427104665_image.jpg

$15.65 , a hit pipe and a flattened 50c coin
1427104742_image.jpg

What ever was used was done in 1 strike ... Its totally flat and smooth on both sides

Away for work again today/tonight, little coastal town up north
Went down the beach after knock off, about half an hour in the dry sand
$6.30 and a silver ring :D
Then to the park across the road....

Dismal weather ... But went down the beach for a couple of hours this arvo
Theres a lot of sand at the moment ,so start in amongst the rocks ... First target was this brass lid ( broke it with scoop)
Then the brass spike , followed by the sinker

I got the crusty 20c next and the amethyst pendant
1428043717_image.jpg

i sure hope it was already broken
1428043807_image.jpg

The foil bits and other coins were around the high tide line

You could join a gem club Sandta and grind the amethyst a new termination(short but classy).

Some of the silvers are very worn but will try to get some dates and new pics

You made a killing, obviously conditions were good for retrieving those long buried coins after the storm. A record number of silvers over two hunts for you? :)
