Beehive! :D

Here's a pic showing some of the old fragments of thick glass you tend to get around the site holding victorian coins, usually see none on the surface, only when dug up. Get amongst this stuff, and coins tend to appear as well, other colours can include dark blue and almost an emerald green glass. Must have been a few big drinking sessions here back in the day. :D

Unfortunately the phone is a pain to hold horizontally, plus you have to be able to tap the screen with the same hand to focus on points of interest. I have a GoPro, just have to remember to keep it on charge in future. :)

Thanks Greg, did you see my error on the coin date - bit late now I guess. :D

I am currently uploading a tone comparison between the Deus and Racer 2 onto You Tube, based on a 1921 sixpence at 7" depth. Only another hour to wait for the upload - snore. :/

Just uploaded a tone comparison between the Deus & Racer 2 using factory programs (aside from Deus Fulltones HOT program). Don't read too much into it regarding depth capability, wasn't intended as a competition. Both detectors can be tweaked a bit more to improve the response on deeper targets, whether it be on high or low conductors.

I was going to do a recovery speed comparison, though there are already plenty of you tube clips highlighting their well regarded capabilities. :)

Yes, would have hit on the sixpence well in all-metal, though not my or my partners preference for general coin hunting (you hunted using all-metal with the 705 from memory?) . I actually found it quite difficult going from fulltones back to only having a few tones at my disposal, likewise on the Deus with the normal factory programs. Personally fulltones is just a more pleasing audio to my ears, something that I have become accustomed to over the last few months. You possibly found the same going from the Core to using the Deus Fulltones HOT program, does take a while to train your ears to.

Something else that is also relatively new to me on the Racer is blended tones. The Mrs picked up a 2c coin with iron in the same hole on such a signal, so yet another thing to get my head around with this new machine. ;)

all metal is hard to tolerate. I love fulltones now, its very different from anything else. Thanks for doing the vid :)

Hit a bucket list item today, a snake buckle with a difference from the usual ones. This one looks to have an eagle as the centre piece, and can't say that I have ever seen similar ones before, more research to be done. Also picked an 1864 Vic hp, and a lot of buttons. Have to go out, so here's a couple of quick pics. :)

Belt buckle looks to be US with shield on tummy ... Possibly military?

Correct, The Duck identified it on another forum as a circa 1820's US Navy Dirk (dagger) buckle plate. Damned lucky to find it, three parts from three different holes within several metres of each other. Still missing the bottom of the eagle and perch, might still be out there somewhere with some luck. :)
