G'day all, I first started detecting around '96 we used to camp around Avoca, armed with a rented SD2000 from Miners Den in Mitcham I found my first nugget.
Straight back to Miners Den to purchase an SD2000!! Over the next few years, I found a few more nuggies, only to put a halt on detecting once the kids came along.
Fast forward to 2024, purchased a s'hand SDC, and still armed with the old SD2000, I plan to get out and about over the next few months and see what I left behind. cheers Greg

Good move Greg but I think a few others might have seen quite a bit of what you left behind 👀

Still lots of nuggies for the SDC, but you might be surprised as to how small they are compared to what you would have picked up with the 2000.
Unfortunately, most of the nuggets of that size would be gone now, but specialist detecting for smaller or deeper nuggets (with appropriate detectors) is still productive.
The SDC specialises with high sensitivity for smaller size nuggets so that should find you plenty to let you determine how far you want to go getting back to the hobby.
