Hell yeah, was quite surprised to see how much the 11 inch missed in the heavy trash. Still a bit of a niche coil though, the 11 inch is the workhorse.

You were probably just about due to hit the honey hole with a smaller coil, considering how much you have already pulled out of there with the 11" coil - should prove to be an invaluable piece of kit.

The goldies are pouring out of trashy areas I had quit because of too much junk, this little coil is a ripper. Can't believe how many good targets are mixed up with the trash. The 10x5 can really get amongst it very well. The silver ring was in between a ringpull and other bits of junk, I just knew there was a good target there immediately, no way would I have noticed it with the 11" if I put it over those several bits of trash. Don't get me wrong, the 11"coil is great too but let's the CTX down a bit in really heavy trash, in light to medium trash it is fine.
Anyway the results are all that matters.

Yeah an old lighter, can remember that type when I was a kid, haven't seen one in a long time. Yeah sterling silver ring too, bit of a cheapie but still silver. First one for a little while. They seem to come in bursts.

When you think of it, finding lots of coins pays better, but what can be better than being out camping and fossicking even if you only get a sniff of a dog fart before breakfast on the campfire. SIGH!!

I'll be revisiting quite a few old spots GP, will keep the reports up as the treasure flows in. Was surprised where the ring was to be honest, not really a spot I would have thought of, just lucky I decided to wave the coil over that bit of ground. Goes to show that treasure can be anywhere.
