Finally got out for a swing after all the rain this week and after being crook with the flu all week too. Hit Dee Why beach again hoping for some more pre dec coins, got a couple of very corroded penny's and a 1936 sixpence, few bucks in moderns too. Seems I cleaned it out pretty good last time as there was hardly anything there at all.... :) Can't wait until my honey hole park dries out, got plenty still to do there.

Cheers Rod, I'm on the mend, nasty bug getting around though, I keep a spare course of antibiotics these day and got onto it as soon as I felt it hit my chest.

Yeah AR almost reverted to Malachite hey. Malachite is way prettier though. :D

If it's the same as Mrs RJ and I had a couple of weeks ago it was a shocker.
You know what doctors say about antibiotics? Take them and get better in 7 days, don't take them and get better in a week. :D ;)

Yeah mate was a shocker of a bug, I avoid antibiotics at all cost too but...... I do need them these days when I know I'm getting a chest infection with the emphysema I've got, on a 2 week course of tablets to make sure I hammer it.

Anyway, hit Mona Vale beach today for a couple of hours, must be someone who swings there regularly as there was bugger all to be found, got $5 in goldies and a about another dollar in shrapnel. Though whoever swings there missed this nice little sterling pendant. :) At first I thought it was white gold with diamonds but it's sterling with CZ, not 1 stone flouresced under UV, with that many stones if they were real 1 or 2 would have glowed a milky white under the UV.

It was flogged mate no doubt about it. This pendant was pretty deep though, easily around 25cm took a bit of time to find it even with the pinpointer. Gotta get out for a swing and a chat with you soon.

Hitting Mona Vale was a last minute decision this morning otherwise I would have let you know.

Beaches down this end were smashed by everyone also but for some reason I got to Dee Why before anyone else, did very well there over a couple of days, absolutely nothing there now either, lol.

I attacked North Narrabeen straight after it there was so many coins I couldn't even get close getting them all, on day 3 everyone showed up but after about 3 to 4 days the bank sand kept getting thicker, and now all the can junk has washed in and is sitting above the coins, need another major storm to sort the heavies out and wash the light junk away.
There is still heaps more there just too deep in the bank now. :|

Hmmmm you could imagine the look on my face when this came out of the ground! Then...... you could also imagine the look on my face when after sitting down for a break I saw the 925 hallmark!!! Spewin. Thought it was my lucky day, might have to go toss it back where it came from. :( It's probably worth less than the coins I found, will count them up soon and post the total, must be at least $30.

Geez mate ,your a hard one to please ;)

That's what keeps me striving for metal detecting super hero status Sandta, lol.

I was detecting in one of the richest areas in Sydney, thought I'd found 10 grand in diamonds, I've finished sulking now and can appreciate the CZ's and gold plated silver for what it is. It's a great looking ring, just errrr have to remove a couple of zero's from the value....... :D

On the upside I got over $30 in goldies.
