Last of me finds there.
Today some more buckles, one silver spoon, and another smaller silver
tea spoon bottom, a dogie rego tag, and the lamp head.
But what is the cast tap, looks like a spring valve at the top.
Some finds today.
I went back to the area and found more,
Same area and look what I had missed, keep in mind
the heavy tin and such, went very slow, some pings only pinged one time
I found it better to dig, than work on a signal and walk away.
Well found the buckle today right near the old building
now thats a score.
The building was 1860 onwards till the 1900,
The age of the buckle, I think 1860s or earlier.
I went to see the farmer, asked for detecting permission and he said yes,
but his wife said, at least I asked, others dont. The feeling of respect I gained from them is a good feeling.
Great finds and a great feeling to do the right thing. I asked for permission for a show ground which has signs stating it's private property. A similar story as the nice lady told me many detect in there but I wax the first to ask.
I was going to say there was exactly the same buckle on Kimbucktwo, then I realised it was actually yours. Are there any legible markings on the rear of the buckle?
Is that a stump behind the roo Cheese ?,... good looking finds,..great photos, and great feeling when you ask and the answer is yes,... maybe one day they will need you to find something for them too, that's when them being nice pays off too.
Hi,
I do not see any but it is solid and from an early period,
in great condition to, it surprised me so close to the old house,
a lot of tin there from the farmer ploughing it in but I will
go over that ground.
Went back today, jeees the grass is growing quick here
and the soil is damp right down, great for the farmers,
Good for pinging the signals to.
The 1874 is a clean coin.
How is the coin and been in the ground I must say well over 100years.
I found this coin hard to hear today but I got him,
I have been doing a bit of net work on it and the coin is small date
but any help on it would be appreciated.
