Have a search on the forum for ways to make your own using standard PVC plumbing fittingsHey guys,
I’m green as and looking for some advice on a good yabby pump/hand pump that I can rely on. Thinking of going with the quick sniper from gold n sand. Cheers!
Yes i have you have to slip it over the outside but pvc pipe is around same size you havecto honevout the inside of pvc attachment so it will slide over the yabby pump then put the reducer pipe inside the pvc end of yabby pumpI often see SS yabby pumps going relatively cheap in garage sales and actually have one myself that has been sitting in my garage for yonks.
Have sometimes thought about making up some sort of reduction nozzle for the end made out of PVC fittings to convert it to a gold suction pump.
Wondering if anyone may have done this?
I use the square camping mat with out the holesFor replacement plungers I use the old thong cut to size, shock absorber washers top and bottom
I have a large stainless steel Wilson yabbie pump and an assortment of plastic reducers I use for getting to cracks and crevices. Just cut-down sauce and drink bottles, add short lengths of hose if desired - then use a heat gun to shrink the bottles to firmly fit onto the pump. No tape required just twist on and off as needed. If you do make an adaptor with a bit of hose/pipe on it - be sure to put a nail through the centre of the working end to stop rock blockages.I often see SS yabby pumps going relatively cheap in garage sales and actually have one myself that has been sitting in my garage for yonks.
