Silver surprises always leave you feeling good DJ. I've not found or seen your other two highlights before either.

Aaah, dreaming of a CTX one day! Maybe I should sell up and stick with the one detector, although good ground to detect makes all the difference as well. ;)

Well the CTX carked it today. Turned it on and the screen stayed off. Detector still works but the screen and buttons don't. Tried restarting a dozen times and disconnected the battery and the both plugs. Still the same. Google seems to show that it's a common problem. Back to Minelab for repairs. Looks like the Aldi detector will be used for the next 6 weeks. Bloody hell!!!!!

very nice hunt indeed. ESPECIALLY on the 1928 FLORIN, in considerably good condition.
very impressive metal detector the CTX 3030. i may have to save up and get one. impressive depth and i bet far ahead of the detector im using.
and your figurine. i think i have its friend.

Bummer mate, 6 weeks for a repair seems a little excessive, I would not be happy at all. Is this what Minelab told you?
