If I could just get under those seats.
I think that I might leave it for a few weeks and then try again with a different plan of attack..
I have a date with a football oval that was used from 1903-1978.
Still in use today but not for NRL games..
I'm sure it's been hit by others before so I think that I will leave the 17" on and go for the deep targets.
Should be fun
I have ear marked 20 parks that I want to hit this year, all pre 1900s so let's hope that there is a sovereign out there.
BTW, has anyone here found a sovereign????

Footy Oval Take 1
Went out on Monday for about 4 hours.
$22.30 in spendables
26 predecimals ( 2 silvers)
This was all in an area of about 15 meters by 2 meters.
So far do good, can't wait to go out again tomorrow.

$44.30 in spendables
20 predecimals ( 2 silvers)
Did another area of about 15 meters by 2 meters.
When I saw that huge silver coin in the hole I thought that I finally got my crown.
But to my disappointment it was only a US dollar.
I would have stayed longer but the groundsman asked me to leave. Apparently an elderly lady threatened to call the police.
I thought about telling him to get stuffed as it's not the first time someone has called the cops for detecting in a park.
Last time the cops weren't too impressed as their time was wasted.
Oh well, there's always next time.

Was digging in a park today, police can drive through it. They rolled-up, asked me if I found any gold. I put them onto a group if kids messing around in the drain. They rounded them up, suffer druggie kids lol

That's gold.
Only the council ranger can ask you to leave a park if they have proof that you have wilfully damaged it.
As long as you don't leave open holes that pose as a trip hazard, you have nothing to worry about.
