Would it be Lamont Young and the crew of his boat that disappeared without trace in , what is now called Mystery Bay just south of Narooma?

Mount Dromedary is located just to the ssw of the area.
Also known by it's name Gulaga ,

It is said in legend that all the rivers start on Gulaga.
The legend about Mystery Bay is the spirits were not happy with what the man did to them so they swept
down from the Mountain and spirited him away and he is now deep within the mountain.
That is part of the legend told to me by an Elder years ago.
A cache of bottles and equipement was unearthed not far away back in the 1990's and was thought to be part of a plan for the men to disappear.
It was latter proven not to be any thing to do with the mystery.
I hinted at the location all the way through.
