An easy one.
I was a person who could sing.
I achieved international stardom with my voice.
My "Trill" made sensational headlines all over the world when I departed this life.
There is a story about me in Bendigo when I had one of my "Low cost performances"
Who was I.

Thought you were having a rest Doug LOL
Got signal so can join in.
Was it Lola Montez at the Theatre Royale Bendigo and her "Famous" Spider Dance by chance? She had a trill voice.
Otherwise its Nellie Melba ( who demanded the clock towers be turned off because their hourly chime upset her) she stayed and sang at the Shamrock in Bendigo.
I've stayed in the room she did. Or at least I was told she did !! Ill go with Nellie !! to be fair.

Sorry that's two guesses saves paper :D

I employed two noted brothers of whom one was eventually murdered ( but not in my employ), but experts in their profession.
My business helped push the boundaries of civilization in the golden years.
My son lived until he was 82 and drove taxis in Sydney.

Who and what was I engaged.

Not too hard but an interesting time in our history. :)

Here's a bit of trivia for you.
The previous owner of my house was Dame Nellie Melba's chauffeur.

That's awesome backcreek, did you meet him? ( or better still any goss?) LOL

A few more clues and an adjustment of the first clue. Sorry.

I was originally employed by two noted brothers of whom one was eventually murdered ( but not while my employment), but experts in their profession in Northern SA before they moved west to the gold fields.
I broke away and started my own business, teaming up and managing a company in Bourke NSW that used my imported commodity.
The company served the copper fields of Mount Garnet, Chillagoe and Mungana and the OK mines.
The business helped push the boundaries of civilization.

My son lived until he was 82 and drove taxis in Sydney.

good work Gold Pick that was great
The two Brothers were Faiz and Tahg Mahomet. Tahg was murdered in WA.
Abdul was a bit of woman's man and an entrepreneur !! He went back to Afghanistan when the combustion motor took over from the Camels. He did have a go and by buy traction engines but to no avail. A real Pioneer this guy.
Over to you mate.

I was a servant of god, but yet am credited with the discovery of 40 supernovae (multiple supernovas), and one comet.

My memory of star fields and the positions of around 1500 galaxies has been described as eidetic or savantlike (a capability considered to be abnormal). Who am I?

Yes GT,
I grew up over the road and knew him well, he died on his 90th birthday in my bedroom.
When he died I bought his house and I could have had his original 1926 Chev if I had $3500.00 at the time but alas I didn't have a zack to my name after buying the house.
He was originally from Melbourne moved to Sydney and raced greyhounds. I have all his dog records.
I have tried to find his family so I can give them to them but unfortunately there are no surviving relatives.

That's really awesome backcreek. Sounds like a great guy and what he must of seen and known about Dame Nellie :) !!!!

Correct DrDuck, well done. Never actually heard of him before, I just accidently coming across the Wikipedia page, a fascinating character.

Your turn for some trivia. :)
