There's a follow up tune about the place too " the answer" tells why there was no beer!.... Funny stuff.
Think Paul Kelly did some spins of it too, but live ones .not recorded.

It's at Holbrook NSW .formerly called Germantown

The captain of AE-1 an Australian Submarine sunk in the Dardenelles Turkey in WW1 was born in Holbrook.
There is an excellent museum adjacent to the Submarine.
Only the deck & conning tower are in the park sitting on a foundation of concrete shaped to resemble the pressure hull
My brother in law was a crew member on board ovens a sister boat to Hmas Onslow on its maiden voyage from Scotland
It was built by browns in Greenock on the Clyde.
The rivers class. Boats were the the most stealthy of all current Submarines at that time, diesel electrics being much quieter than Nuclear boats

Slightly different to what I had Pete.
The town was renamed after him and the conning tower donated. The town raised money to buy the whole sub but fell short.
They did a deal with the scrap merchant and bought the outer skin of the sub from the waterline up.

Anyway, your question sir.

What runs from Pheasants Nest to Prospect? What does it carry? And what is unique about it?

I could be cheeky and just say water :D
Upper Nepean Scheme. Other name/s: Hudsons Emergency Scheme

The Upper Nepean Scheme is significant because:

1. It has functioned as a unique part of the main water supply system for Sydney for over 120 years, and apart from development in supply and improvements has changed little in its basic principles since the day it was completed, except for the decommissioning of the Lower Canal in the 1990s

Rod you got it in part,
What was unique about it?
Sorry to be so long answering ,we are up at north haven
